Favorite Links

Here are some of my favourite links - some family related, others for genealogy reasons.

• Ancestry.co.uk / Ancestry.com - I have found these two sister sites particularly useful.  Obviously the UK site is for UK only but Ancestry.com deals with the USA and overseas.  Will link direct to Family Tree Maker so you can merge records as you come across them.

• Cobley-History.co.uk - An excellent web site well worth a visit!  Has links to Cobleys all over the UK.  Check out the Guest Book!  A lot of very interesting information here!

• Gerald Cobley's Family History Website - Gerald is tracing the Somerset and Monmouthshire Cobleys.  No direct link to my line of Cobleys but good reading.

• The Devon Family History Society - The DFHS has enabled me to further my research through other members help and their informative items.

• The Langstone Cliff Hotel - This lovely hotel is at Dawlish Warren.  Still run by Geoffrey Rogers and his family, part of the original ownership of Cobley Rogers Cobley.

• Genes Reunited - Excellent site for "fishing" around!  I have found many useful contacts just by asking questions on this site!
